Vlieseline 279 Cotton-Mix 80-20 is a medium-weight, supple and soft batting made from plant and synthetic fibres. The fibres are needle punched - meaning they are intertwined through a manufacturing process that involves driving thousands of barbed needles through the material. This method prevents the wadding from shifting and making it firm and compact. This results in a very durable quilt. The batting is also covered with a layer of mesh (made of polypropylene) that provides extra strength. Vlieseline 279 Cotton-Mix is ​​therefore particularly suitable for blankets and quilts, but this batting also comes in handy for patchwork, wall hangings and quilted clothing. Suitable for all fabrics. The batting is made from 80% cotton and 20% polyester and is washable up to 30°C. Vlieseline 279 Cotton-Mix 80/20 has a weight of 135g/m2, is 220x270cm.

PROCESSING VLIESELINE 279 COTTON-MIX 80-20

It is advisable to leave the batting in hot water before processing due to the possibility of shrinkage; lay flat to dry. Place the wadding under the fabric and sew it in place by hand or sewing machine, always with a gap of no more than 10cm.
